OUR TEAM

The story behind Learn Swedish Lab

It all started during the pandemic when founder Teodora moved her Swedish lessons online. She began receiving an influx of inquiries, all seeking specialized help. These were people preparing for life-changing opportunities: relocating to Sweden or Finland, obtaining work permits, reuniting with loved ones and securing professional licenses. For many, their dreams hinged on passing challenging Swedish language exams like YKI test, Swedex C1 or TISUS test. They didn’t have time to waste, they needed results.

Through these conversations, Teodora uncovered a significant gap in the market: there were no courses tailored specifically for these exams. Most language schools offered generalized programs, but what students needed was something focused, efficient, and goal-oriented

Drawing on her own experience of living and studying in Sweden, she joined forces with a team of skilled and passionate teachers – her university colleagues, to create Learn Swedish Lab. This unique bond strengthens our approach, making Learn Swedish Lab more than just a language center

And so, Learn Swedish Lab was born, with a mission to provide the most effective exam preparation for Swedish language certifications.

She hopes to be able to encourage learners to communicate with confidence and without fear or doubt.

Isidora

1000150249 (1)
Isidora is a Swedish teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Scandinavian Language, Literature and Culture. She is a real language enthusiast. Besides Swedish she has also learned and is still learning Turkish and is thinking of starting a course in Spanish. Learning languages is her way of learning about other cultures and customs which can lead to meeting new people and making new friends. Isidora thinks that the best approach to learning a new language is figuring out how to combine both hard work (in learning grammar) and having fun (by exploring a new culture through music, film and literature). She also has a lot of understanding for those who learn a new language because she herself has been in the same position multiple times and knows how hard it can be, and she is there to provide the necessary support and knowledge. Having herself studied in Sweden, she had an opportunity to immerse herself in Swedish culture and everyday life. In her free time Isidora enjoys spending time with her friends, reading a good book, and keeping in touch with her Swedish through books, film and music.
